Dr. Elizabeth “Liz” Grieggs was born and raised right here in Indiana and even attended IUP where she got her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology in May of 2019. After graduation, she moved out of Indiana (for the first time ever) to Ohio to attend the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium in May of 2023 which includes the University of Akron, Kent State University, and the Cleveland Clinic.
As a part of completing her doctoral program, she completed a one-year audiology fellowship at the Ear, Nose, and Throat & Facial Plastic Surgery Center of Fredericksburg and Hearing Resource Center located in Virginia where she learned and specialized in several areas of audiology including vestibular and electrophysiology, fitting and rehabilitation of adult and pediatric hearing aids, and tinnitus treatment.
After finishing her fellowship and doctoral program, Dr. Grieggs felt a calling to return to the Keystone State and took a position in Altoona, PA at an ENT clinic. Now, she has felt a calling to return home to Indiana to serve the community that has given so much to her, which she is honored and excited to get to do. After all, there is truly no place like home. She is excited to get to take more walks down Philly street, attend the It’s A Wonderful Life parade and festival over the holidays, to eat at her favorite local restaurants, go back to Zumba and other activities at the YMCA, spend more time with her family, and of course cheer on the Crimson Hawks and hopefully attend some Pittsburgh sports teams in person more often! Dr. Grieggs enjoys traveling and hopes to someday go back to Italy to see her family again, spending time with friends and family, listening to music (anything from Jimmy Buffett to Taylor Swift), and sending and receiving letters and cards.
